Just finished building a new rig for the wife. Brand new AMD A8-5600K... love it so far, it's a nice little quad, quite snappy for everyday use! :)

I am currently testing the CPU at SMP:4 to see how much heat/noise it puts out and many PPD it's gonna yield. Tomorrow I'm gonna add the old GTX 460 on Core_17. I will set it to shut down when the PC is actually used by someone to provide a better/quieter user experience, but the rest of the 22 hours per day it will fold 100%.

Not sure I'm gonna fold on the iGPU as well. I'm not sure it's worth it and I think it may just slow down the CPU and/or cause thermal throttling. :idontknow:

Fold on! :beerchug:

Well, Trinity integrated GPU is quite good for everyday use, but not for folding. It does around 400-500 PPD so it's not worth the additional heat/power.

The GTX 460 doesn't do good on core 17 either. It actually does less than 10,000 PPD while it achieves 17,000 on core 15. Go figure. :stupid:

So yeah, overall this rig is gonna yield 18-20k PPD. Should bring my average to over 40k on a good week.
