Second day of the race has finished. OCF is still in first place, with EVGA still not far behind - a definite threat.

We wouldn't be in first place without the help of our friends.

Finally got my GTX660 today. Will install it first thing tomorrow morning, it should give an additional 5-10k PPD over the GTX460. :)

Sadly can't run both at the same time in my rig and my HTPC's PSU won't take it either...

well so far i think we are making a very good showing representing trp in the cc. rough figuire puts us at about 1.2 million points so far. not shabby . tried firing up my 7970 again today and it picked up a 7662 wu right away. hope they stay available for a while. i set my 2700k to 4 cores for smp vs 8 and that seems to help with gpu production. we will see i guess.

Eq, I have my smp set to 7 and then the gpu, getting just shy of 80Kppd, as long as you are getting these new workunits,
it shouldnt hurt the smp much if set to 7, but 4 is going to kill it. Also, i have been getting the new work units for 2 days now.
So hopefully that means the put a bunch up.

Good job guys! I'm contributing the best I can right now, but nowhere close to what you're putting out.

Fold on! :wtf:

good to hear Cv, i will try that. putting together an old 9950 phenom rig that im slapping 2 6970's in right now to fold the gpu's with. we'll see what that does soon.

How many GPU's are you running in that rig? Is this your 2600k with 7970?

that setup worked great Cv, my 2700k and a 7970 is averaging 73k so far. seems changing the smp from 8 to 7 helped alot. i have been getting 7662 wu's steadily now.

I would get more, but im having some issues, i have dropped a few gpu workunits only getting partial credit for.
Having some sort of unstable setup, if i remove the smp client from the mix, then the gpu is folding just fine.
But if i run the smp with the gpu, some workunits complete, and some dont. So i took off the lesser producing of the 2.
which is the smp.

Your not doing bad Dostov. Just keep it going lol.

Have you tried running both gpu's?

I think you have to leave some "breathing room" on the CPU for GPU units, even if they don't take a whole core as they used to. Have you tried setting the CPU to 3/4 cores?

For my part, I can't run both the GTX660 and the old 460 at the same time, I don't have enough PCI-E connectors on my PSU... and don't have a single molex to PCI-E adapter around. The 660 requires only one, but the 460 needs two.

Meh, I guess that means I'll have to order another GTX660, right? :muahaha:
