Now this is something i am finding a little confusing.
I have a HP DC7900 pc with Q45 / ich10 chipset. I was going to upgrade my memory when i came across ddr3 support.
In the dc7900 specs there is no such thing as ddr3 modules, but under q45 chipset, it says ddr2 667-800mhz & ddr3 800-1066mhz.
What am i missing here? Can i buy ddr3 memory for a dc7900 or am i misreading the whole thing?

Its DDR2 and DDR3 wont work. Dont try lol

There was a time in that chipsets era where they wanted to make DDR3 possible, and mainstream, but for your PC it is a DDR2 slot
