Well, ok then; that gives us something to shoot for. Will you be able to recycle your current case or would you like a spiffy new one? Do you need a monitor included or will you be using your current one?

What are your main goals for the system? (gaming, photo/video/audio editing, browsing...what will you use it for mostly?)

p.s. - Closing your other thread to keep people from posting in two locations. Friendly word of advice - be a bit more specific with your topic titles. Editing this one for you. :)

Yes, if you could list what you intend on reusing, that will cut down on your cost, and help us in picking out the best hardware for the money!

As Hokie said, are you going to want a new case also?
Will you be using your existing hard drive?
Do you need a new Monitor, or are you using your old one?
Do you have a preference between AMD and Intel??? (AMD will cost you less, and will make a great gaming rig!)
Are you going to use your existing keyboard, mouse, speakers, printer....?
Do you have an Operating system? (XP Home/Pro, Vista, Windows 7) Or do you need to buy a new one?

Make a list of what you plan on reusing, and we'll fill in the blanks for ya!

Oh ya, I am unfamiliar with that cpu, so I'm not sure if the stock cpu cooler will do, or if you'd need to get a better one???

Plus for a few extra bucks, in my opinion, this would be a much better video card for you, if you plan on staying with just 1 card!
