I thought this might be fun for those with fast Hard drives!

Here's a download link for it: http://sourceforge.j...k3_0_0f-en.exe/

I'm sure the SSD's will rule this thread, but lets see! :)
No need for any CPUZ or GPUZ, just take a screeny of your Sequential Read/write speeds and show us what you got!!!

Just show us this!

if you havent ran pcmark05 for bot scores you should, it will prolly net you some boints. I have much better scores from win7-64 for pcmark for your info, just incase you arent familiar with it

What size cache are they sporting?
Yep, I've already ran PCMark05!
Scored well to!

Ya, but I just have a problem with W7, hate it! I know, everyone loves it, I just hate it! :)

If it was me, I would! :) I've been running raid arrays for at least the last 8 years now!
I used to use NV raid a lot.

I have 2 500gig barracuda's in raid now and have for a couple years, used to be 3 of them but dropped back to 2. I think the 4 tb drives would do well but not like your vraptors. as far as win7-64 for me it scores way better for pcmark and I want the boints, so thats the os I chose for that test. I usually keep an xp, vista, win7 and ubuntu bootable on my box, and often 32 and 64 bit versions too.

I'm thinking some of these 1, 1.5, and 2TB drives that have 64Mb cache, would do excellent in Raid!
I have a 1.5TB drive that I use for backups, connected with eSATA, and I tell ya, it's one fast HD!!!

very good results for a single drive for sure. all my drives are 32mg. 6 7200.12 of which 2 are 500 gig and 4 1tb and 2 7200.11 with one being a 500 and the other 1tb. dont care to raid with the different series as it makes imsm think it is failing.

Thanks dejo!

Ya, to tell you the truth, I was pretty surprised when I saw how fast this single drive was!
It was the only 1.5Tb drive that New Egg had (at the time) that had 64Mb's of cache
I bet some of these drives in a Raid-0 array would rock!
But I just don't need that much room! lol

Wow Inteller, those speeds are insane. Glad you have a backup for such a massive RAID 0 array too. ;)

I've got to reformat this SSD b/c I stupidly ran the benches in IDE instead of AHCI, so once that's done I'll post its result too.

I had 2 intel 80gig drives and think they are in the 500range on sequential reads. scored 25700 on pcmark with them and no irams
