Hey guys. I haven't forgotten about this, I promise. I've just been strapped the last two weeks and couldn't even afford to ship it, please accept my apologies. So...starting fresh, everyone interested state your intentions. It should be able to go out at the end of this week or next week.
  • If for a primary system upgrade, List what you have now.
  • If it's for a folding system, mention that.
  • If it's for a secondary or donation system, mention that (and who it's going to).
  • No one is excluded, but extra weight (probably in the form of multiple entries) will be given to those that need it for an upgrade.

Have at it!

That should add 3 to 5k a day for a folding team member.

Id be up for taking it off your hands for the use of Folding.
Energy wise, it would be much cheaper to fold with that then my X2's.

I believe it would be both an upgrade and a huge plus for my primary rig (which is used for folding pretty much 24/7 now). I'd be installing it as my primary graphics card on my non-SLI dual-card system. I've often wondered what it would be like to fold 6-8K+ PPD on a single rig! :metallica:  :metallica: :power: :metallica: :muscle:

I just finished rebuilding a new secondary rig, but it's hampered by a 7600GT, I plan on using it as an HD HTPC, and I need VIVO, I'm also considering, depending on noise, establishing it as a folder, I need to test the energy bill waters first though. but the GTX would make a great card for it, I might even be able to use the PC as a console with it :)

I've been thinking of how to weigh the people interested. Since the purpose of Santa Raptor is to upgrade those with primary systems that don't have equivalent or higher power, those will get the most pull in the drawing. So I think this is how it will break down:

Secondary rigs - 1 entry.
Folding rigs - 2 entries.
Upgrades - 4 entries.

(An entry is a slip of paper in the hat.) Input is welcome. :)

EDIT - Miah got in there while I was typing. So.... crazy clocks with LN2 - 1/4 entry. ;)

All deference and apologies to Hokie for bringing this up on his thread... If you need VIVO on an HTPC and folding is of secondary concern to you, I have this HD2900XT that will fit that bill nicely. The GTX is a monster, but I'd consider my card at least as a worthy booby prize. You interested?

I'd be interested, you offering for free? I'd be willing to pay shipping.

Yep. Free, and I can go either way on the shipping. Times are tight, but I think the convenience factor and the Karmic value of the gifting depends on my footing the entire bill. :whistling: Let's see how this drawing goes and put our heads together after. I promise you as the first person to express interest in it, you get first consideration. Cool?

Will/Can be. lol the two PCs I would be folding with are still in pieces :P but I used to fold, and I do plan on getting back into the game, and doing so as part of TRP makes plenty of sense to me :)

I would like to be a name in the hat for this one.

My best friend (Justin) is 18 an havin a kid. We use to play fear and other games together untill about over a year ago he had to get a job since his family became exhausted in funds. Since then we havent played multiplayer like we use to and he rarely has time til night to play. He is using a 7600GS and that barely playted fear 1, and it wouldnt do fear 2. With no funds especially with a kid on the way he cant afford a new card. Thats why I would like to be a part of this for him. I rarely see him much as he works full time and i school full time, work and have the site to maintain so we never hang out anymore so this would help just because i would actually be able to play and talk to him late nights when me an him are off.

I felt weird writing that but thought it would be something.

Thanks Hokie!

I could really use this for a system to trade for a much needed auto repair. Thanks for the consideration, Hokie.

I could use, it's way better than my 8800 GTS 320mb, specially for benching, but I think I'll pass since for games my card is still good enough, and it would be a hassle to ship it overseas to me.

It is probably of better use to someone else.
