nero recode 147 fps with it off.
nero recode 337 fps with it on yep none at all bad.gif

Something is jacked with that (I'm guessing the "off" score). Even if you got a boost and it was working as well as a full core it wouldn't be more than 2x. There are a few applications that get a 30% or so boost but most are less than 5%. This is DVD recode? Explain how you run the test and I'll tell you how Conroe does. I have 6.6.

Yes I need the exact settings your using. I downloaded the demo and ran "recode Main Movie to DVD" and the average was over 1500fps. With the check box on record high quality its over 500fps. How are you getting those numbers? Its only showing instant frame rate while encoding, no average when it finishes. So there is a big range like 1050fps to 1850fps.

Thats really weird it takes 4 to load it. hmmm i dunno either. Will have to research. I wont be getting a Core duo until after i buy my new house. So it might be a few months. But by then who knows.

It's the H/T. It actually does work like four cores.
