I know what ya mean, I had Cable modem and my company upped the speed (from 512kbps to 768kbps) at first it was great, then all hell broke loose and I started getting modem crashes and high pings... switched to DSL and I get 1mbit connection for the same price as the Cable and really low pings.

i will test mine when i get home - i have been having major issues with the connection for a month now. disconnects once or twice a day and because of the error it won't reconnect unless i restart modem. i have tried 3 modems now all the same HOWEVER! it has been really solid the last 2 days, no interuptions at all and really really low ping responses. maybe the hundreds of phone calls got on thier nerves and so they got something done about it.

my speed is supposed to be 3500Kb Down/512Kb Up. good for gaming!

I don't think so... Sat is just that bad. Average ping is in the 600 or something...
